What a joy it has been this spring to be involved in three Mother-Daughter
conferences. We have seen such amazing seeds planted for His kingdom
during our time at Forest Home and Alpine Christian Conference Centers.
Our theme has been, "Using Your Gifts and Talents in the Body
of Christ." We have seen young girls dedicate their gifts to the
Lord so they can spend a life time serving Him. What a joy to experience
this as we have presented our keynotes and given application of how
God has blessed Darcie and me to go "into all the world to preach
the gospel." Some received Jesus for the first time and others
dedicated their ministry to the Lord. Do you know that 70% of people
who go into full time ministry do so at a Christian camp? That's incredible
to think about how God used us as a vessel over these great weekends.
That is why people like Billy Graham, Henrietta Mears, and Bill Bright
did so through a camping atmosphere.
So what is new? Well, we are working simultaneously on several new albums,
including one on the book of Exodus and Promised Land songs. It is
temporarily titled, "Dancing in the Desert." It is more adult
and Celtic like in production than other CD's I have done. It has a
Ten Commandments song, a song about the plagues (with all the sound
effects), Rahab's Grace (talking about how she hid the spies), and
one of my favorites is about Joshua and has an army feel to it. Many
of the songs were co-written with my friend, Linda Stevenson, who resides
in Roanoke, Virginia, where she also manages a MRH office (in her spare
time). Thanks, Linda, for all you do!!
We also are finishing up all the songs that Darcie and I started through
her lessons with "Puppets with a Heart," songs like "Mind
of Christ," and "Armor of God" that we wrote for the
ACSI conference last year. Those are guaranteed to be fun and very
interactive for families to use with Darcie's lessons. This album is
temporarily titled, "Put on God's Armor."
Darcie and I also hope to do a high definition video sometime this summer,
so please keep in touch with what we are doing. We'll see what happens.
It is very expensive to do this, and we want to appeal to a larger
crowd and possibly pitch it to use and broadcast. We know that this
will require a much better quality DVD, so we are planning and working
hard to make this the best it can be in the preliminary planning stages.
We also will have some family time planned in between. My son is home
from college and just finishing up his first year, and my daughter Trisha
is almost done at Point Loma after just completing four years. Both are
doing great, and I am so blessed to have two great grown children working
hard to finish college.
Please keep in touch with us as we get ready to film. We would love to
have some of the families involved who have come to our concerts. It
should be somewhere in the LA area.
Thanks for continuing to sing our songs and plant seeds.
Blessings,

Mary
